This website is a showcase: it has no forms, creates no accounts and stores no personal data. The processing described below is the only processing there is.

Contact requests

When you email me, message me on WhatsApp or call me, your message leaves from your own email app or phone, not from this website.

• Data: what you send me — name, email address or phone number, the content of your message.
• Purpose: answering your request, making you a proposal or a quote, organising the outing.
• Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Recipients: me alone. WhatsApp (Meta) messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit; my email is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland, a country covered by a European Commission adequacy decision.
• Retention period: three years after our last contact.

Audience measurement

The website counts, day by day and page by page, clicks on the contact links (email, phone, WhatsApp, “Book”). No IP address, identifier, cookie or information about your device is recorded: these counts cannot identify anyone. The website uses no third-party analytics tool.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). To deliver pages and protect the site, Cloudflare technically processes your device’s IP address.

• Legal basis: legitimate interest in running and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Recipient: Cloudflare, as processor.
• Transfer outside the European Union: Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, with standard contractual clauses as a fallback.
• Retention period: as set out in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Health form

Before some outings and before a trek, I ask you to fill in a health form. It is generated in your browser: nothing is sent to or stored on this website. You send it to me yourself, by WhatsApp or email.

• Data: surname, first name, age, phone, outing and date; a person to contact in case of accident (name, phone, relationship to you); the health information you choose to share — medical or physical conditions, allergies, current treatment and, for a trek, medical and surgical history and planned care.
• Purpose: assessing risks, adapting how the group is led and, in case of accident, informing the emergency services.
• Legal basis: your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box on the form. You may withdraw it at any time.
• Recipients: me alone; the emergency services, only if they are called out.
• Retention period: no more than seven days after the outing or the end of the trek, then deleted.
• Minors: the form is filled in by a parent or legal guardian.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. The host may set a technical security cookie (__cf_bm, 30 minutes of inactivity), strictly necessary and exempt from consent.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to and restrict its processing, and to data portability. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise these rights, write to contact@leopoldsguide.com: I reply within one month.
